ALP captured in Marxist anti-Jew political vice.
ALP politicians are scared of upsetting the anti-Jew factions within their own party.
In the Australian parliament last week (5 February) Prime Minister Albanese stated “You know what the Australian people want to know …. They want to know who is engaged in anti-Semitic attacks…” (5 February—See the video clip.)
Let’s see if I can assist the Prime Minister with an answer.
The rise in anti-Semitism (that is, attacks against Jews) in Australia is inextricably linked to the internal power politics inside the Australian Labor Party. This includes the power politics within the broad ‘Labor church’ that constitutes the modern Australian establishment. It’s this internal Labor power politics that has its hands around the throat of the Albanese government, choking its capacity to protect Jews properly. Australian Jews are victims of this current internal ALP power structure.
Alright. I’ve made a pretty bold statement. It’s fair to require me to justify my claim.
To start with, in December last year I wrote an initial analysis titled ‘Australian Jews: Victims of domestic Left politics’. I wrote this after the fire-bombing of the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne and the vandalising of the office of the Jewish Labor MP Josh Burns. I explained the links between this violent anti-Semitism and the peak Marxist organisation in Australia, Socialist Alternative. I based my analysis on my direct ‘inside’ experiences with Socialist Alternative after attending their annual 3-day conferences. I’d call this an immersion into modern Australian marxism.
These marxists are very careful about what they commit to print. They claim they are not anti-Jewish. Rather, they say that they are pro-Palestinian. It’s a clever word game. My view is that they are careful to avoid creating an evidence trail which could lead them to being accused of inciting violence.
But at their conferences it’s quite different. In the closed meeting rooms, discussions around refreshment breaks and particularly the larger auditorium sessions, the whipping up of anti-Jewish sentiment rings in the ears. You get a hint of this when they publish, for example, the claim that “…Hezbollah is not a terrorist organisation … rather than carrying out terrorist attacks, it uses standard military and guerrilla tactics.” Um, sure!
So here’s how it plays out. Attending these Marxist conferences is probably a bit like attending a gathering of a radical cleric spewing bile and hatred against Jews, or any other ‘non-believer’! (Note: I’ve never been to such a meeting, so I am speculating!) But all it takes in such a hate-filled environment is for one or two attendees to become so stirred up, so emotionally consumed with hate that they translate that hate into action. That’s the fire that these Australian marxists are playing with.
And since December there have been further dramatic escalations in attacks against Jews. These include a Sydney childcare centre being daubed with Jew phobic graffiti along with cars and homes of Jews being repeatedly graffitied and vandalised. It’s culminated in the case of the caravan filled with explosives that was allegedly to be used in a mass casualty terrorist plot targeting jews.
Okay. So how does this relate to internal Labor Party politics?
First, we can see that The Greens have been taken over by marxists. This happened in June last year (2024). This report from The Age describes how the Victorian Greens’ state council has been taken over by young political activists. At the Marxism conferences there was open discussion by the young marxist activists of taking over The Greens. The Greens can no longer be described as an environmental party. It is instead a marxist party. This is demonstrated by the fact that, according to The Age, The Greens have “… progressively adopted slogans, chants, dress and symbols favoured by Hamas and other militant Palestinian organisations’. This is exactly what was on display at the Marxism conferences.
What this means for the ALP is that its core left-wing base is now being attacked from a hard-Left modern marxist front. This is demonstrated not only by The Greens chasing traditional ALP voters, but also by The Victorian Socialists (the political party of Socialist Alternative) attracting the same cohort of voters. In addition, within the organs of the ALP itself—that is, the factions that hold sway over pre-selection of parliamentarians—the young marxist left are highly active. This pre-selection targeting within Labor was also well on display at the Marxism conferences.
The consequence is that the Albanese Labor government faces a nightmare political management situation. Inside the ALP the hard-left marxists are putting huge pressure on the jobs of sitting and aspiring Labor politicians. Externally, Labor is now being successfully assaulted at the ballot box by the (now) marxist Left Greens and the rising marxist Victorian Socialists. Note that Victoria is critical for Labor as they currently hold 24 of the 36 federal seats.
But the Albanese government is also under further external pressure from the Muslim vote in Western Sydney. What we can see here is a confluence between the radicalised Muslim vote and that of the marxists. Both voting blocks are based on hate. The hatred of Jews is the binding thread between them.
How is the Albanese government handling this? Primarily, it would seem, by trying to deflect attention away from itself.
One response we’ve seen are suggestions that the escalating attacks against Jews were/are possibly committed by criminals paid for by ‘foreign actors’. Aligned with this, Australia has sanctioned the ‘Terrorgram’ international terror network with Foreign Minister Penny Wong stating that the government’s action would make it a criminal offence to engage with “Terrorgram”. Further, there has been considerable publicity given to suggestions that Jewish attacks have come from far-right pro-Nazi organisations.
This just doesn’t resonate with what I’ve seen. I find myself in accord with the views of the Australian Jewish Association (AJA). When responding to comments by the Western Australian Labor Premier, the AJA had this to say, (6 February):
“The Premier blamed right-wing white supremacist, language on social media. There’s no doubt that there are some unsavoury people on the far right. My organisation and I are frequent targets of these Nazis. But Nazis are an easy punching bag, few in number and without meaningful support.
The wave of antisemitism which Australian Jews have suffered since October 7, 2023, has been largely driven by the far left and from some extremists in the Islamic community.”
The AJA’s view makes sense and dovetails with the assessments I’ve made in this article and my other Modern Marxism articles on Substack. Based on my inside experiences with Australian Marxists, the Jewish attacks are largely driven from the far left. But I’d go further, the far left has encouraged and fomented extremists in the Islamic community.
In summary, the attacks against Australian Jews are strongly linked to the internal power politics of the Australian Labor Party combined with external political pressures. All this pressure is deeply marxist-driven.
Here’s some of my other articles on the Jewish-Marxist issue.

I agree. I want an answer to who is funding Victorian Socialists. In my seat at the last State Election, at one booth there were approximately 15 harassing voters as they tried to enter the building. They were extremely well coached, and once people had been harranged by them, they would refuse HTV cards off others, to avoid another 5 minutes of propaganda. They broke every rule in behaviour towards voters but neither the Booth manager nor the police would do anything about it. They told me they were students, brought down from Sydney, accommodation paid, food etc. (No showering facilities), and were paid each day to attend. Multiply this by several hundred booths, statewide. Even Labor with their union backing would struggle to fund this. So, who is funding this? Are WEF and /or Soros interfering with our electoral process?
Oooh here we go again....it's all Labor and the far left. Nothing to do with the permission conservatives give to people to be as racist as they like. Pick the group you hate and it's all their fault. So easy for stupid people to see things so simplistically.
