The genocidal massacre of 1,200 Israelis on 7 October 2023 provided stark evidence, if it were ever needed, that there remain in our ‘global community’ vast numbers of people who desire the death of all Jews. Before 7 October, there was perhaps a naïve belief in Australia that this ‘kill all Jews’ movement was pretty much confined to terrorist cults and organisations outside of Australia. And if it did exist in Australia, it was isolated to very small numbers of individuals. The demonstrations in Australia after 7 October with ‘hatred directed at Israel’ (Channel 9–7 October 2024) have surely blown that naivety away completely.
There can be no question now that there are significant numbers of people in Australia who seek the death of Jewish people. They may be smart enough not to express it as bluntly as that to avoid being arrested for criminal conspiracy or intent to incite. But certainly the wild rejoicing by large groups over the mass deaths of Jews on 7 October was clear and obvious. The Jew haters may speak in a coded language, but the intent and desire cannot be ignored. Australian Jews have ample reason to fear for their own safety.
In my judgement, there are two primary drivers of the intense anti-Semitism now evident in Australia. The first is the religious, historic and ethnic driver of hatred currently emanating out of that complex region called the Middle East. That current source of anti-Semitism has been imported into Australia and taken firm root in some population groups in Australia. It seems overwhelmingly impossible to understand and comprehend the immeasurable complexity of that hatred.
The second driver is the use of that imported hatred as a marketing tool by Australia’s home-spun modern Marxists. The Australian Marxists are using the hatred of Jews to further their political agenda for the destruction of Australian capitalism. This is plainly on display in the publications and promotional activities of Socialist Alternative, the self-professed peak Marxist organisational body in Australia.
This banner (below) featured in Socialist Alternative’s latest newsletter (8 October 2024) inviting people to attend the next weekly Sunday Palestine rally (12 October 2024 in Melbourne CBD). The invitation included an exhortation to people to “join us for an anti-capitalist discussion” after the protest.
This is just one piece of evidence that I’ve been accumulating about how Australia’s modern Marxists operate. They use any issue where a group can be alleged to be oppressed—LGBTIQ+, transpeople, disabled, indigenous and, on this issue, Palestinians—and they use the latent anger, hatred, bile and belief in being persecuted to whip the group into as high a state of frenzy as possible in the pursuit of creating ‘revolution’ to overthrow capitalism. The Marxists care nothing for the ‘oppressed’ group they are utilizing. The ‘oppressed’ are merely playthings, promotional tools in the endeavour to destroy capitalism.
I am of the view that if Australia’s modern Marxists were not so intensely, organisationally involved in the Palestine, anti-Semitic, Jew-hating agenda and activities, that the high level of anti-Semitism currently on display in Australia would be significantly lower and far less intense.
The modern Marxists hate Australian society. They despise our society. Their current agenda is to wreak havoc within our society for the purposes of destroying it. The destruction of Israel and the mass death of Jews is simply a process to an end objective for them. We have not seen something as vile as this occurring on Australia’s shores within the lifetimes of arguably any living Australians.
I will write a follow-up article about the political game-play of the modern Marxists in the lead-up to the next federal election, due by May next year (2025). I see this next election as one of critical importance, like none other in my 69 years of living in Australia. Will the modern Marxists’ marketing succeed in achieving major electoral leverage to the point that they can advance their agenda of hatred to new levels? That is the question.
As background on my research into modern Marxism, my previous articles, listed below, may give some context and background for the opinions expressed above.
The Greens, Marxists, CFMEU – Violence
I make the observation and put the proposition that The Australian Left are at 'war' with themselves. Central to this is that The Greens are no longer an environmental political party. I explain how The Greens were targeted and successfully taken over by Australian Marxists. The Greens could now be described as a party of environmental communism.
CFMEU – What the heck is going on
I explain that the move of the Albanese government to take over the construction union the CFMEU is a result of the leadership of the Left funding CFMEU declaring their intent to take over the Labor Party.
Our Society is divided and collapsing. True or false
I say that we should be alert to a marketing 'con' presenting society as fractured and divided. I explain the marketing campaign to which we are being subjected.
Here I explain the very modern marketing techniques being used by Australian Marxists to seek to divide Australian. Their purpose is the achievement of the Marxists ‘revolution’ against capitalism.
Sunday 13 October. I just happen to be in Melbourne CBD , Elizabeth st. The weekly Sunday Gaza demonstration has just passed by. Noisy but very small.
The situation in the middle easbt is certainly complex and emotional, and hence easily exploited by parties across the spectrum.
