My first priority would be to get lawyers out of it, and your scheme addresses that in a couple of areas, but more stringent statements needed. My second is to eliminate overlapping responsibility by different levels of government and different departments. It is clear that is one of your key goals too, but say it explicitly. This is one of the most wasteful aspects of our present legal system, not just for employment.
Transparency of government contracts is an absolute imperative. I would add a very short time limit with very heavy fines for government departments or authorities and key personnel for incomplete information and/or tardiness and no right of appeal.
Statistics on savings make it very clear that few people are prepared to forgo using their income as they receive it. It is not "their money" it is actually a tax that is tied to the person who is taxed, in order to reduce future government pension outlay. By all means increase the payer's control over who manages it but don't give him the cash until he retires.
I understand and agree with all that you are saying, trouble is that I can't put it into words. Changing the current system is a mammoth task which would include fighting government and politicians and really needs to happen. Someone needs to lead people out of the woods but I don't have the educational qualifications to do that.
'Impossible' task Stephanie. But all journeys start with one step. First, know the mountain you wish to climb. They start climbing. Can we get to the top? I don't know but we have to try.
To Ken Phillips, I vote for One Nation and have done so since it's inseption in 1997. My father (who died 20 years ago aged 89) told me to stick with Pauline and I have done so. I don't think he was wrong
Yeh, One Nation seems to be building. Pauline runs a very professional team these days. Ive had a lot to do with them on the Coal miners wage theft issue. https://kenphillipsselfemployed.substack.com/p/unions-stealing-from-workers-never . They have been brilliant on this standing up for coal miners who've been screwed by their union and the ALP
I would blame the government and the polititians. Trouble is, how to get rid of them. I have been saying that for years and nothing has changed. I vote for One Nation and they are getting more powerfull with 2 senators now.(Who are trying to get rid of Jackie Lambie and hopefully are powerful enough to overthrow her. ) O.N. now has a representative in every electorate. I know that the House of Representatives calls the shots re; what goes before Parliament but who sits in the House of representatives? Politics enthralls me but I am too old to do anything but follow what is going on in the world.
I just wish that these policies could be implemented but the government and unions would no more accept and instigate them than fly. How to make Australians realise that they do have the power to change the thinking of politicians? Just a vote against conservative parties on May 3 (vote for One Nation) would start the ball rolling. Australians want to just accept the policies of M.P's and keep living in their dreams.
YES, but ..

one step at a time.
Go for it

I presume the union you are talking about is the CFMEU owned and run by Labor. I reckon it is a criminal organization but protected by the government
Yep. CFMEU. And we hold the same view on the criminal political protection racket. Australia is a very corrupt society
